The fall 2017 National Organic Standards Board (NOSB) meeting will be here before you know it. NOW is a great time to start brushing up on the issues and planning to weigh in on this important and informative process. Please lean on the Organic Trade Association’s Regulatory team as a resource, and let us know if you have any questions. We’ll keep you updated as the meeting approaches. The fall NOSB Meeting will be October 31-November 2 at the Omni Jackson Hotel in Jacksonville, Florida. The Preliminary Meeting Agenda has been posted and the public comment period is now open. The draft agenda and other related meeting materials will be available on or around September 12. The primary purpose of NOSB meetings is to provide an opportunity for organic stakeholders to give input on proposed NOSB recommendations and discussion items. The meetings also allow NOSB to receive updates from USDA’s National Organic Program (NOP) on issues pertaining to organic agriculture.
