OTA will present an educational session entitled “Labeling Products for the Global Organic Market” Sunday, June 22, at 1:30 p.m. at IFT’s 2014 Annual Meeting Scientific Program in New Orleans, LA. Discussed will be organic market trends and consumer preferences, and information about existing country organic equivalency agreements, critical labeling requirements, and key tools available to help producers and handlers export organic products. The session will also highlight the difference between organic and non-GMO labeling claims, and legislative and regulatory efforts underway for voluntary and mandatory GMO labeling.
