OTA is planning an action-packed Organic Week in Washington, D.C., May 23-26. Reserve your spot and mark your calendars so you won’t miss a minute! The Organic Center’s first-of-its-kind Organic Confluences Summit kicks us off on Monday, May 23. Confluences will bring organic stakeholders together with scientific experts and policymakers to turn environmental benefits research into actionable policy supporting the growth of organic farming. Start the morning Tuesday, May 24, with a Fun Run around the Mall sponsored by Clif Bar. You’ll then be ready for a full day of Member Working Sessions, gathering with industry peers and conducting trade association business. Finish up the day by watching the Nationals vs. Mets from a private box at Organic PAC’s D.C. Fundraiser. OTA’s annual Policy Conference is Wednesday, May 25. This fast-paced day features conversations with Members of Congress, agency leaders, political strategists, and those who inspire us with their passion, creativity and determination to make a difference. Afterwards, cap off the evening by rubbing shoulders with policymakers at OTA’s Capitol Hill Reception. Thursday, May 26, is Advocacy Day. Equipped with the insights gained during the Policy Conference, we’ll deploy to Capitol Hill for pre-arranged meetings with legislators. Organic Week in D.C. has something for everyone.
