Does your company sell fortified organic products? OTA is reconvening its Nutrient Vitamins and Minerals Task Force to respond to a Discussion Document that the National Organic Standards Board (NOSB) has released for public comment. The Handling Subcommittee is requesting comments on four suggested options to revise the annotation (restriction) on the use of Nutrient Vitamins and Minerals allowed in “organic” and “made with organic” products. The comments, due by May 10, will help shape a subsequent proposal. If you would like to learn more about the issue and join the task force, contact Gwendolyn Wyard. The task force will meet for two calls. The first call is this Wednesday (March 23) at Noon Pacific.
