The National Organic Program (NOP) has announced the dates and details for the fall 2016 National Organic Standards Board meeting and opened the public comment period on meeting agenda topics. The meeting will be held November 16-18 in St. Louis, MO, and the comment period will close October 26. NOP is announcing this NOSB meeting earlier than in the past to provide more time for public comment. The draft agenda and other related meeting materials are being made available on the Fall 2016 NOSB Meeting Web page. Proposals will be posted as they are ready, so visit the website intermittently for updates. In addition to receiving written public comments, NOSB will listen to oral public comments via a webinar on November 3 and at the meeting in St. Louis. The deadline to submit written comments, sign up to speak at the meeting and reserve a room at the Chase Park Plaza Hotel are all October 26. OTA will keep members updated with new information as it becomes available on the NOSB website. Contact Gwendolyn Wyard or Nate Lewis if you have any questions.
