OTA’s CEO/Executive Director Laura Batcha and OTA’s Director of Legislative and Legal Affairs Marni Karlin recently met with Anne Alonzo, Administrator of USDA’s Agricultural Marketing Service, regarding implementation of the exemption from conventional check-off programs for organic operations. This was a follow-up to a letter sent to Secretary of Agriculture Tom Vilsack urging his quick implementation on a number of organic priorities included in the 2014 Farm Bill.
