At USDA’s annual Agriculture Outlook Forum last week, Secretary Tom Vilsack outlined the steps that USDA plans to take by the end of this calendar year in response to recommendations made by its Advisory Committee on Biotechnology & 21st Century Agriculture (AC21). USDA has said it also plans further actions which will require longer time frames. OTA has posted a USDA fact sheet outlining USDA’s efforts to address AC21’s final recommendations.
