Organic Production Survey looks at only certified operations

Certified organic growers in the United States sold more than $3.5 billion in organically grown agricultural commodities in 2011, according to the U.S. Department of Agriculture’s National Agricultural Statistics Service (NASS) in its 2011 Certified Organic Production Survey.
