As expected, last week’s media highlights centered around OTA’s Policy Conference. The conference itself received very good coverage from eight widely-read, DC-based reporters, including Bloomberg, Politico, Agri-Pulse, Food Safety News, The National Journal and the Bureau of National Affairs. Three of the reporters – Politico, Agri-Pulse and Food Safety News – stayed the day and reported and tweeted from the conference throughout the sessions. OTA’s four press releases got excellent pick-up by a diverse swath of the media, ranging from Reuters and CNBC, to Horticulture Daily and the Sacramento Bee, to numerous farm broadcasters across the country. Laura Batcha, OTA’s Executive Director and CEO was also interviewed about organic accessibility for a story that will appear in Delicious Living, Nutrition Business Journal, and the Natural Foods Merchandiser. Contact Maggie McNeil, OTA’s Director of Media Relations with questions.
