Colin and Karen Archipley, co-founders of OTA member company Archie’s Acres Organic Farming Enterprise, were honored last week by the White House as “Champions of Change.” Archie’s Acres is a certified organic greenhouse operation that grows basil, kale and other herbs and produce. The Archipleys also created the Veterans Sustainable Agriculture Training Program in partnership with Cal Poly Pomona—a six-week agricultural entrepreneurial incubator certification program to provide a career for veterans transitioning back into civilian life.
