Colin and Karen Archipley of OTA member company Archi’s Acres, along with two graduates of their Veterans Sustainable Agriculture Training (VSAT) program, assisted First Lady Michelle Obama in planting the White House Garden in D.C. Thursday, April 4. They were joined in the effort by school children from Florida, Massachusetts, Tennessee, Vermont, and D.C. While in Washington, Archi’s Acres representatives met with government agencies and legislators to discuss smarter policies surrounding agriculture and veterans’ employment.
