White Oak Pastures Inc., Georgia’s largest certified organic farm and grass-fed beef producer, has been touted as a successful food hub in a recent University of Georgia study. The study defines state food hubs as organizations pulling together five or more small or mid-sized farms and offering a wholesale component to pool products in order to fill large orders. White Oak Pastures works with local cattle farmers to supply grass-fed beef to Publix and Whole Foods Market stores in Georgia and throughout the region.
