The U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) has $17.6 million in funding available for research and outreach activities to help growers, producers and processors find innovative ways to improve organic agriculture. Applications are due March 10, 2016, for the grants funded through the Organic Agriculture Research and Extension Initiative (OREI) administered by USDA’s National Institutes of Food and Agriculture. The request for applications spells out specific program requirements.
