OTA’s Organic Leadership Awards are given annually to individuals who have shown leadership and vision in furthering the goals of the organic movement. For 2014, OTA is accepting nominations for three Organic Leadership awards. Nominees for the Organic Farmer of the Year Award should be full-time farmers who have made a significant contribution to support and advance organic agricultural trade, such as increasing the amount of land under organic management, or advocating for organic agriculture through farm policy advocacy, community education, or innovative farm stewardship. You can download nomination forms or check out the criteria for the other two Award categories (Rising Star and Growing the Organic Industry) online. Contact Tessa Young, OTA’s Director of Communications with questions. Nominations are due by May 30.
