USDA’s annual Agricultural Outlook Forum held this past week hosted an organic panel for the first time ever. Laura Batcha, OTA’s CEO and Executive Director, moderated the panel discussion entitled “The Outlook for Organic Agriculture,” which drew a packed room. The audience was engaged, asking questions for a full thirty minutes beyond the allotted time! The level of interest in the discussion was significant, and demonstrates a need for organic to continue to be at the table during conversations about U.S. agriculture generally.
